Who, how and why?

Whenever I see drawings in restaurants or supermarkets of happy animals (e.g. piglets or calves), forks and knives in their hooves (or paws), basically eating parts of their own kind, I wonder what the thought process was to come up with such an idea in the first place. 🫣
